| Mary American Corner |
The Mary American Corner is dedicated to providing current and reliable information about the United States to the general public through its library, computer lab, advising center, and monthly activities calendar.
Since the Mary American Corner was opened in January 2005, the American Corner has served as the premier resource center on US history and culture, educational advising, teaching, and English language study for the Mary region. We provide a range of services to the public including free internet access, an English language library, and a range of monthly seminars, after-school clubs, conferences, and camps. Our success is thanks to the support of US Government exchange alumni, Peace Corps Volunteers, American Corner visitors and volunteers, and local teachers.
The Mary American Corner is open to the public and use of the library and internet are free of charge. The library houses an extensive collection of English language books, videos, and other resources, including books on English grammar, U.S. history and culture, educational guides, health manuals, and reference materials (dictionaries, encyclopedias, and world almanacs).
The Mary American Corner also regularly conducts outreach activities throughout Mary city and the surrounding etraps in the Mary region.
The center is staffed by the Regional Representative, an Alumni Coordinator, and a Peace Corps Volunteer, who all work hard to create a warm and inviting atmosphere at the Mary American Corner.
