|
On September 11, Sabina Hojakuliyeva (FLEX ’05) conducted an SAT preparation class for 15 visitors of the Turkmenabat American Corner. The participants included high school students and high school graduates. The instructor provided information about Educational Testing Services (ETS), the organization which administers many standardized tests, including the SAT, TOEFL, GRE and others. During the class, participants also learned general information about the SAT test and received tips on how to answer mathematical questions. Yulduz Seyidova, one of the SAT class attendees, said: “I want to study at the American college. In order to receive a scholarship most colleges require good SAT scores. This is the main reason I am taking this course. During the first class I learned much information about SAT which I did not know before. SAT class led by Sabina is very useful because she gave us a lot of advice that will certainly help us when we take the test.” The SAT class helps attendees to apply for American universities and colleges. Participants are taught how to improve their score.
