| “Youth Law School” |
On July 21-25, the Mary American Corner along with 7 FLEX alumni arranged Youth Law School for 15 high school students. The purpose was to give the basic understanding of law, to introduce the participants to the courtroom procedures, to develop strategic and critical thinking, questioning, listening, and researching skills, to improve their public speaking abilities through the Mock Trial and other related activities. The school was started with an ice-breaker to meet the selected
participants. During the project there were many successful presentations on American Legal History, where the participants learnt about legal documents of the government before and after the United States Constitution, the presentations on Anglo-Saxon and Continental law systems, International Criminal Court, its establishment, location and functions.
